DRAKE N J COLE LIVE UK - LONDON

We bought tickets to the hottest gig in town way back, after work and a stressful drive into the city (LONDON TRAFFIC PLUS CAR CRASH AND ROAD BEING BLOCKED BY POLICE). I finally got to the Hammersmith Apollo, I refuse to call it the HMV Apollo but we wont go into that its a whole other blog post, the queue was the longest thing i had seen in my life and these people were excited. My lovely friend Ree Ree covered this for us because she got us on guest list and we skipped the queue and went through the box office queue (Thankfully).

Back to the concert, J Cole started the gig and killed it, he practically slayed it. The dude was that good and i was like shit don't even care if Drake comes on now. For my Blog followers i have been hyping up J Cole from way back when i heard his mix tape and he did not disappoint, he is gonna be the star that i said he would be.

The track of the night from him, for me personally, was dead presidents - he massacred that track. Yes if y'all don't know who J Cole is you best find out and you can follow him on twitter, search - JColeNC.

Then Drake came on and he was charismatic, wooed all the females in the audience - the guy could have gone home with every chick if he wanted to - and yes i am jealous. He had the crowd eating out the palm of his hand. His singing and rapping ability was flawless LIVE and he let everyone know how much of an asset he is to the Hip Hop community. I have been to many hip hop concerts and there has just been a Black and Asian crowd, but this crowd was every bit as mixed as London. It made me proud to be British and showed the mixture or people who love Hip Hop. I would go so far and say this was on par with my favorite ever concert, which was Lupe Fiasco in Somerset House.

Drake performed all his classics and not one person could have left that building disappointed. If they did they must have been sleeping because this young fresh talent is everything Hip Hop needs. The fireworks also where amazing and the set was simple but the performances on that set were extraordinary.
